"Between highs and lows" would be a good term to summarize our second day in Praia do Forte. The highlights: we visited the Tamar project, enjoyed the natural pools at Pedra do Chapéu beach, got good prices on beach accommodations, enjoyed a delicious and hearty breakfast at the hotel, tried typical Bahian delicacies, and had some of the best ice cream I've ever had. We had several plans to also enjoy the pool, hot tub, and sauna at the hotel spa where we were staying; but unfortunately, we experienced a very tense situation that night and decided to retire and go to sleep. Malu was traumatized for the rest of the trip.
