Footage recorded by URSSS. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Their first self-releases on cassette and CD between 1999 and 2004 (Witch-Season, Two Sides of a Horse, Ghost Folks , and The Winter Ray) defined the couple's aesthetic and ecstatic coordinates, melodies and noise alternating in a continuous narrative, an astral rurality that is at once intimate and universal. In 2004, they moved to Vitrè in Brittany, and far from everything and everyone, in 2006 they released The Dance of the Moon and the Sun, a masterpiece and highly sought-after release (not only for its small print run), where the couple's talent, inspiration, and essence find form in music that oscillates between ancient lullabies and future trajectories, between free-form psychedelia, noise, folk, and dissonant experimentation, in a continuum that will be the hallmark of all their work, an infinite tale beyond the dimension of time. Over the years, their output intensified, reaching a highly expressive intensity (Night Coercion Into The Company of the Witches, Shadow Kingdom, Beyond the Veil). While a mythical fascination with the duo grew, they always remained distant, distant, and reclusive. Impossible pressings, often hand-packaged (for example, a single copy of the quintuple box set I Dream of Drone) and albums that reached six hours in length (Daughter of Darkness), reveal a propensity for a very particular and mutual transcendence: as if there were no audience to listen and follow them, but rather as if they were messengers from an 'eternal dimension', devoid of any artistic whim other than sharing their own intimate vision. In keeping with their essence, live appearances remain extremely rare. This concert at O', organized thanks to Neoma, is the only Italian date part of a short European tour (the second in more than 15 years), and will feature Mehdi and Solange in a performance that will feature excerpts from their entire repertoire, in an abstract and unpredictable way."
