In May, we had planned a peaceful camping trip by the lake with our caravan for our last snow camping trip of the year. Everything was perfect in the first few hours… The quiet nature, light snowfall, and lake view. But the heavy snow we were expecting never came. While I was disappointed that the snow was so short-lived, Eyüp suddenly said: “We’re packing up, I’m taking you to a really snowy place.” We packed up everything again and set off on a completely unplanned journey. We arrived at an incredible place in the middle of the forest, among snow-white pine trees. Despite it being May, it was snowing incessantly. The atmosphere felt surreal. We set up our tent in front of the caravan. We lit our stove. We cooked fish in our outdoor kitchen. We drank hot tea and watched the snowfall. We set up a camera trap. And we ended the night watching a movie. Everything seemed perfect… Until we were awakened by a loud noise in the middle of the night. When we rushed to the door, it wouldn't open. The heavy snowfall had become so intense that it threatened to completely collapse our tent.
