Laughing Gas (1914) Keystone - Charlie Chaplin

Charlie is the assistant of Doctor Pain, a dentist. As he mistreats the other assistant and the patients in the waiting room, he is called by the doctor to help him. Indeed, a patient under laughing gas does not wake up after the anesthesia, and Charlie must go to the pharmacy for a remedy. On the way, Charlie breaks the teeth of two men by throwing bricks at them. He also rips off a lady's dress. This panicked lady goes home and calls for help to her husband who turns out to be the dentist. Charlie pretends to be the dentist and takes the opportunity to flirt with a patient. The two men with broken teeth arrive for treatment, as well as the doctor, who has returned with his wife. The film ends with a general stampede triggered by Charlie who tries to avoid retribution.
