"Knuffel Marokkaan" follows Sofian, a young Moroccan Amsterdammer who lives alone with his mother in cramped and tense conditions. He dreams of a future in the creative world but keeps facing rejection — within the Moroccan community for being “too white,” and within Dutch society because of his name and appearance. Determined to help his mother while struggling with poverty, rejection, and growing loneliness, Sofian tries to hold on to hope. As the pressure at home mounts and space grows tighter, he faces a difficult choice: take a regular job to support his mother, or keep pursuing his dream of working at a media company, despite the barriers standing in his way.
