Scott Baker's Fatal ARCA Crash at Toledo - June 23, 2000

This video contains the closing stages of the Jasper Engines & Transmissions 150 at the Toledo Speedway on June 23, 2000. That night, Michigan driver Scott Baker was running 8th when (at 4:02 in the video) contact from Joe Cooksey sent him spinning into one of the several tractor tires lining the infield pit road. Baker, age 43, was killed in the accident. Video copied from an old VHS recording I taped years ago. My copy does not have the entire race broadcast. An excerpt of this video will be used in my documentary "Three Before February." Incidentally, the last-place finisher that night was Dan Ford, Jr., who was driving a J.D. McDuffie tribute car owned by John Bailey of Bailey Excavating. The car is not seen in this video as it was eliminated in an accident after 18 laps.
