Sometimes they come back. And the good news is that they'll be back more and more often. We're talking about internal combustion engines in products based on Multienergy platforms that "forgot" to offer a diesel or gasoline variant as an alternative to electric vehicles. Thus, the Peugeot Rifter, Citroën Berlingo, Fiat Doblò, and Opel Combo Life "petrol" MPVs have returned to German price lists and will likely soon do so in other markets as well. The engines in question are the 110 hp PureTech gasoline engines and the 110 and 130 hp BlueHDi diesels, with the (positive) consequence of a price collapse: the Citroën Berlingo with a 136 hp electric engine, for example, started at €36,940; it now opens at €24,890.
