This Friday, 19th June 2026 at 14:00 BST, I'm joining ctrtez's 7th annual fundraiser for MNDA. After my stream, at 20:00, he'll be doing his annual 24 hour marathon going through games such as Fall Guys, Fortnite and PEAK to raise as much money as possible. I want me and my community (yes, that includes you!) to help out. While I haven't personally been affected by MND, Tez had to deal with losing his Nan to the disease in 2014. Remember, it's not even just that gigantic loss - you see the disease take over somebody you love for months or years beforehand, making them slowly lose independence and some functioning as their muscles weaken and struggle. I feel really strongly about helping out with this in any way I can, knowing how it's affected Tez and his family, how dedicated he's been to fundraising the past 7 years, and how it affects thousands more people each year in the UK - let alone worldwide. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) shows itself in many ways, having 4 main distinct types. It takes hold fast, worsening over just a few months or years, without a known cure for it. The MND Association (MNDA) uses money raised to help fund research into treatment and other ways to help those living with MND, and to provide them with maximal support. Plus, they focus on bringing awareness to the disease, and help to those who are looking after a friend or family member with MND. From all my research, they definitely seem like the best charity to help tackle this horrible disease, from both a treatment perspective to slow/stop the disease, and for improving outcomes and quality of life for those dealing with it.
