Running the St. Johns River to the Mount Dora Boat Show
http://broadcaststories.com Every year in mid-March, a large gathering of antique wooden boat enthusiasts assembles in Jacksonville, Florida to run the St. Johns River to the Mt. Dora Boat Show. The beautifully restored antique boats travel for four days on the river, stopping each night at hotels on the river edge. Just as much of the country feels like it is locked in an endless winter, the yearly gathering of boats arrives from many states and Canadian provinces to begin their four day journey on the beautiful St. Johns River. The sparsely settled river offers pristine views of old Florida. The trip ends at the Mount Dora Antique Wooden Boat Show.
