Fraxel Vs. Clear & Brilliant

The difference between Fraxel restore and Clear + Brilliant laser is that Fraxel Restore is a stronger treatment with a bit more downtime vs Clear + Brilliant which had no downtime at all. I like to tell my patients that 3-4 treatments with Clear + Brilliant equals one treatment with Fraxel Restore with regard to the results. So for people who cannot take time off work or need a quick treatment without any redness or downtime Clear + Brilliant is the way to go. There is no redness swelling or downtime with Clear + Brilliant. Fraxel Restore on the other hand has 1 week of redness and swelling. We call is a "laser facial". Both lasers stimulate collagen and improve the texture and tone of your skin. They both shrink pore size, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and eliminate brown spots and patches. After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA.
