Fr Paul VERDZEKOV_ A Simple Story Simply Told _ by Bernard FONLON _ (White FACE Production)

The Life of Mgr PAUL VERDZEKOV, first Archbishop of Bamenda as told by Dr Bernard FONLON, viewed as a Saint, Statesman and Scholar. Mgr Paul Verdzekov was also known as a perfect example of a man of integrity. He lived a holy life and was known for his inspirational and well researched soul searching homilies. He was very prayerful and many testify to his life of detachment too. Mgr Paul Verdzekov was born at Shisong where he later attended Primary School at CS Shisong; Fonlon being at one time his teacher. He then proceeded to St Joseph's College Sasse, the first Secondary School in Anglophone Cameroon. With no major Seminary in this region at the time, he was sent to Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, Nigeria. He later went to the Propaganda Fidei in Rome where he was ordained a priest. He came back to Cameroon and took up Parish work. He served too as Editor of the Cameroon Panorama. Il a vécu une vie sainte et était connu pour ses homélies inspirantes et bien documentées. Il était très priant et beaucoup témoignent également de sa vie de détachement. 🏷️ Mgr Paul Verdzekov est né à Shisong où il a ensuite fréquenté l'école primaire de CS Shisong; Fonlon étant à un moment donné son professeur. Il s'est ensuite rendu au St Joseph's College Sasse, la première école secondaire du Cameroun anglophone. 🔖Sans grand séminaire dans cette région à l'époque, il a été envoyé au Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, Nigeria. Il est ensuite allé à la Propaganda Fidei à Rome où il a été ordonné prêtre. Il est revenu au Cameroun et a repris le travail paroissial. Il a également été rédacteur en chef 🗞️ du Cameroun Panorama. Il a ensuite été nommé premier archevêque de Bamenda.📜
