Full Concert: Krezip (2001) live at TMF Live | The Music Factory

Krezip is a Dutch pop, rock, and alternative music band from Tilburg, North Brabant, Netherlands, formed in 1997. The band initially started as a cover band while the members were in high school and quickly transitioned to performing original songs. Their big break came in 2000 when they played at the nationally televised Pinkpop festival, showcasing their talent to a broader audience. Over the years, Krezip released several successful albums and numerous hit singles in the Netherlands, gaining live performance success at festivals in Belgium and Germany. The band's core consists of lead singer and songwriter Jacqueline Govaert, along with Anne Govaert and Annelies Kuijsters on guitar, Joost van Haaren on bass guitar, and drummer Thijs Romeijn, later replaced by Bram van den Berg. Krezip's breakthrough single "I Would Stay" was awarded the "All-time best Dutch single" by the Dutch national radio station 3FM in 2008. Despite their success, the band announced their breakup in 2008 and officially disbanded after their farewell concerts in 2009, with a notable final performance at Pinkpop. In 2019, Krezip reunited and performed at Pinkpop once again. Throughout their career, they played at Pinkpop a record six times, a feat shared with Dutch rock and pop star Anouk. The band released their debut album Nothing Less in 2000, which reached number one in the Netherlands and went 3× platinum. Subsequent albums included Days Like This (2002), What Are You Waiting For? (2005), and Plug It In (2007). Despite lineup changes and challenges, such as vocal issues and injuries, the band maintained their popularity. In 2019, they released the album Sweet High, marking their successful return. In 2023, they announced their sixth studio album, Any Day Now, set for release on April 7, 2023. This album includes singles like "Make it a Memory" featuring Danny Vera, and "Ready For More". Additionally, drummer Bram van den Berg joined U2 temporarily for their concert residency at the MSG Sphere, filling in for Larry Mullen Jr. Krezip's journey from high school band to national fame and their impactful reunions highlights their significant contribution to the Dutch music scene.
