Coupled Tramtrain testing

A new era is beginning in 2021 for the southern Hungarian cities Szeged and Hódmezővásárhely. They are going to be linked by a tramtrain service, a first of its kind in Hungary, running on today's route 1 of the Szeged tramway system, heading on the state owned railway line no. 135, diverting to brand new tramway tracks in Hódmezővásárhely to have a direct service instead of slower buses. Tests have been on their way with the brand new Stadler Citylink units since early 2021, in April they tested the first two units coupled together.
