Therefore, this overview video shows the assembly of: Issue 49: Front monocoque bulkhead Issue 50: Further details for the front bulkhead Issue 51: Steering system Issue 52: Brake fluid reservoir and upper front wishbones Issue 53: Cockpit fairing Issue 54: Lower monocoque end cap Build: Issues 49 and 50 contain some small parts – such as electronics boxes, sensors, the steering gear housing, and of course the bulkhead that closes off the cockpit at the front and houses the nose. Issue 51 contains the tie rods and the mounting for the gear on the steering column. Issue 52 contains the brake fluid reservoirs and the upper wishbones. After assembly, I secured the moving parts to the wishbones with tape to prevent damage. Issue 53 contains the inner cockpit fairing and the steering column mounting. Issue 54 contains the component for closing the monocoque from below – however, this is not yet installed. Summary: To my surprise, the steering is smooth and can be moved effortlessly at both the wheels and the steering wheel. The nose cone doesn't fit into the recesses in the cockpit bulkhead without force. I carefully enlarged the holes with a 1.5mm drill bit. Important: don't drill the upper holes too large; the lower holes can be drilled more easily, as the main load is on the upper holes. All in all, hardly any problems so far, only the small number of parts in most issues is incredibly annoying...
