Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. Alok Sharma and Dr. Kerry Magro share their captivating message of hope for people on the Autism spectrum at the plenary session of The International Conference For Autism And Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Dubai 2023 (ICAN). Dr. Temple Grandin in her inspiring opening keynote address spoke of developing skills and the importance of career in the life of people with Autism. She discussed choices, social training, environment enrichment and the importance/role of parents in the life of children with Autism. She emphasized on giving choices to children instead of saying a no. She also said that we should let children explore a lot of different things so that their right potential can be unlocked. Dr. Alok Sharma in his informative keynote address showed how cell/stem cell therapy has become the new hope for Autism. He shared the scientific basis of how cellular therapy repairs the brain damage in Autism. He also presented worldwide papers from medical journals sharing the safety and efficacy of cells/stem cells in Autism. He shared the clinical results of his own published work showing the benefits and improvements after cell therapy in people with Autism. Dr. Kerry Magro in his motivating end keynote address delivered a powerful speech focusing on “Educating the world on autism and Neurodiversity” by showing the importance of acceptance and empowerment for individuals with autism and other disabilities. He spoke about his life journey from being non verbal to a globally recognized autism advocate. He also spoke about the need for resources for Autistic Adults to become self dependent and how he is fighting for the same. Dr. Nadia Al Sayegh, esteemed chief guest who inaugurated the conference, spoke of bringing the best practices to the region and sharing knowledge of the latest trends in Autism. She also inaugurated the Arabic edition of the book, "Treatment for Autism".
