Recruitment Method (Post Information:   / 1jcdglwey6  ) ① Hardworking and passionate about nature and local culture. ② The workshop will be conducted outdoors for extended periods, involving moving stones, exposure to the scorching sun, and working in the intertidal zone or sea depending on the tides. Please assess your physical strength and endurance; those with swimming or snorkeling abilities are preferred. ③ The workshop will provide necessary equipment for repairing sables (shoes, gloves, repair tools), which must be returned after the course. ④ To ensure the completeness of the training process, participation in at least 3 workshop sessions is required. ⑤ Participants who complete 3 or more workshops will receive a certificate of participation. ⑥ A deposit of NT$500 is required upon registration and will be fully refunded upon completion of the course. ⑦ After registration and deposit payment, applications will be accepted on September 1st. Pre-trip notice will be sent out uniformly. -------------------(Above is recruitment information)------------------- -------------------(Below is Allen's solo trip diary)------------------- In 2025, I made adjustments to my work with Luo Ye Hai (a travel website), increasing my personal time and no longer insisting on filming videos with someone else. In September, I saw a recruitment notice for stone weir trainees on isle.travel's Instagram account. Looking at my calendar, hmm~ let's go! I've always been curious about stone weirs. They connect nature and are enormous, functional, intelligent, and aesthetically pleasing—they even resemble natural swimming pools! Before, I was just curious, but this time I finally had the opportunity to personally participate in the fun of building the stones and contribute to this culture. Actually, these past few days of moving stones in the seawater weren't tiring. With many people, we took turns resting, and when it got hot, we soaked in the seawater, and the time flew by. I really enjoyed the time spent building the stone weir. Finally, everyone completed the entire weir together—a wonderful memory. I highly recommend everyone to learn about this culture. These past few days, I've been working hard from afternoon to evening, then enjoying delicious food in the evenings, followed by a few drinks back at the guesthouse, and sleeping in the next day before heading back together. It's been very fulfilling and relaxing! The restaurants featured in the video were all delicious; I really liked them, so please remember them! In September 2026, I plan to participate in another stone weir renovation project. Seeing that this one is in Xiyu immediately reminded me of the food (surprisingly, not the weir itself!). There are several delicious restaurants there that I haven't tried yet, and I can't wait to go! The stone weir to be renovated in 2026 seems like a huge project, possibly even more difficult than before. Just imagining it will be a giant natural swimming pool! I'm so excited!
