Playing the Behringer Model D - Carlo Mezzanotte

First noodlings on the Model D clone by Behringer. As always when I first approach a synth, I have given priority to classic, simple Mini-style sounds, although in the last part you'll hear some more adventurous patches. I just built sounds as I went along, without any set plan. My impression is that the little "Boog" can nail the majority of the original Model D sounds. There are some small differences, but after all, every Mini is a bit different too. A bigger difference lies in playability: A real Mini has big knobs, they are well spaced, and the setting of values can be more precise. The Behringer, however, has a very satisfying sound for a fraction of the price, plus a few enhancements like an hi-pass filter which sounds great, a dedicated LFO, programmable (via software) pitch-bend range and key triggering, and it's also very light... For the price, it's outrageously good, and just so much fun! I couldn't help adding some very slight ambient effects, as well as for my previous video with the real vintage Mini. Since I added exactly the same effects in the same quantity in both videos, this could be a good chance to compare, in a completely unscientific manner, the sound of the two instruments. Also, in the last part, where the audio has some of the more 'outside' patches, the video camera went suddendly on strike - so I filled the video with various images of the instrument, including some nice custom work by various Model D owners around the world.
