SolidWorks Power-LED 3-5W design

I was engaged in researching the photo-electro-chemical activity of various semiconductors, requiring tunable wavelengths and potent focused light sources. Following experimentation with different sources, I arrived at the conclusion that Single Color LEDs could be an appropriate selection. However, to achieve the desired level of illumination, I opted to incorporate external lenses for the LEDs. By manipulating the PCB angles, the emitted light from all six LEDs converged to a singular point, furnishing adequate light intensity for conducting my experiments. I will be showcasing the 3D design of my setup in this and a few upcoming videos. LEDs, or Light Emitting Diodes, are semiconductor devices that emit light when an electric current flows through them. They consist of a P-N junction created by doping semiconductor materials with specific impurities. When a forward voltage is applied, electrons and holes recombine at this junction, releasing energy in the form of photons. The energy band gap of the semiconductor determines the emitted light's color, with smaller gaps producing longer wavelengths (e.g., red) and larger gaps producing shorter wavelengths (e.g., blue). The specific materials used in an LED chip determine its emission spectrum, enabling the production of LEDs in various colors.
