Rocks are crushed and turned into powder, then fired in a gigantic rotating kiln nearly 60 meters long, where temperatures reach 2000°C. At this extreme heat, the minerals transform into clinker, small pebbles that are the heart of the process. Once cooled and ground, they become the fine powder we call cement.
