Ken Burns at the Embassy of France in the U.S.

On December 16th, at La Maison Française, the Embassy of France had the honor of hosting a special showing of excerpts from The American Revolution, the powerful new documentary series by renowned filmmaker Ken Burns. The screening focused on the moments highlighting France's involvement in this pivotal chapter of history. France is deeply connected to the story of the American Revolution—an alliance forged at a moment when the future was far from certain. The series invites us to revisit that history and reflect on the enduring ideals born from our shared struggle for liberty, civic responsibility, and democratic self-government. Following the screening, guests participated in a thoughtful conversation exploring France's decisive role in the American Revolution.
