After spending so much time and effort replacing the waterpump on my 07 Edge with the 3.5L Duratec engine, it decided to pay me back by eating the rod bearings. All Ford, Lincoln and Mercury owners that have the 3.5 or 3.7 Duratec engine in their cars should take warning and replace your water pump as a preventative maintenance item, otherwise WHEN (not if) it fails, and if you have the water pump done, you're on borrowed time!
