Remember the card game "Tapão"? What if that game was mixed with an IQ test? That's how I describe this new game, Cortex: Challenges, from Mandala Jogos. It's a lot of fun and resembles the dynamics of "Tapão" or "Rouba-Monte". The game proposes mental challenges through cards. Whoever solves the problem first has to "steal" cards to build a "brain" and win the game. It's very interesting and comes with eight categories of challenges: tactile, memory, reasoning, frequency, maze, colors, motor coordination, and repetition. The cards are stacked in the middle of the table. The youngest player reveals a card. Everyone must look at it and think about the solution to that challenge. If they are correct, they keep that card in their pile. Come with me and I'll teach you how to play! Who wins the game? When you solve the challenge, you keep the card. For every two cards of the same challenge, you win a piece of the "brain". You must collect four pieces. The first one to assemble it wins. It's a really fun game, a party game for the whole family. The good thing is that it stimulates reasoning. Here on the channel I've been recommending board games and I believe they make perfect sense for us.
