O quizá, ¿el director…? Un concierto para clarinete de un virtuosismo excesivo hará que el solista indague y circule por entre la orquesta para descubrir quién es el asesino. ¿Será el trompetista que lleva una pajarita de otro color, o el trombonista que lleva un sombrero…? Los percusionistas parecen muy estresados, ¿serán ellos? Allí veo a un/una flautista que me parece sospechos@, voy a bailar un vals con él/ella. Los músicos culpan al director. ¿Será él…? Esta composición está dedicada al gran clarinetista y concertista Eduardo Bernabéu por su excelente aportación al mundo musical. Encargo de la Orquesta Sinfónica de las Islas Baleares “Ciudad de Palma”. Esta composición se estrenó el día 13 de septiembre de 2024 por la Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Mar del Plata, Argentina, dirigida por el autor, Ferrer Ferran, siendo el solista al clarinete Luis Matamoros. ---------- Who Killed Who? Concerto N. 1 for Clarinet and Symphony Orchestra A shot is heard... someone has been killed... will inspector "Clarinet" find the murderer? Who among the musicians in the orchestra could be…? Or perhaps, the conductor…? A clarinet concerto of extreme virtuosity will make the soloist investigate and walk around the orchestra to find out the killer. Will it be the trumpeter wearing a bow tie of a different color, or the trombonist wearing a hat…? Percussionists seem very stressed, could it be them? -There I see a flutist who seems suspicious, I'm going to dance a waltz with him/her. -The musicians blame the conductor. Will it be him…? This composition is dedicated to the great clarinetist and soloist Eduardo Bernabéu for his excellent contribution to the musical world. Commissioned by Orquesta Sinfónica de las Islas Baleares “Ciudad de Palma”. his composition was premiered on September 13, 2024 by the Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Mar del Plata, Argentina, conducted by the composer, Ferrer Ferran, with clarinet soloist Luis Matamoros.
