Still furious, Siddhappa plans to eliminate Gabbar Singh, but his uncle advises him to approach the Home Minister and get Gabbar transferred out of Kondaveedu. However, the minister refuses their request and warns Siddhappa to either make peace with Gabbar Singh or risk losing his political future. Meanwhile, on the emotional side, Gabbar Singh proposes to Bhagya Lakshmi (played by Shruti Haasan), but she rejects him. She explains that she must take care of her sick and alcoholic father and cannot think about marriage while he is alive. Things take a tragic turn when Gabbar Singh returns home and finds his mother dead. He tries to reconcile with his stepfather, but Naidu rejects him again, treating him like an outcast. This emotional blow adds depth to Gabbar’s character before the interval. As if that wasn’t enough, Siddhappa’s men attack Gabbar Singh at a handicraft exhibition. Once again, Gabbar destroys them and directly confronts Siddhappa, delivering a strong warning he will never allow him to become an MLA!
