Festive Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is one of those London Christmas experiences that feels like it belongs on a winter bucket list… and after finally trying it, I can see why it’s so popular. 🎄✨ From the moment you walk in, it feels undeniably festive. The twinkling lights, the grand décor, the sense of history - its classic Savoy elegance dressed up for Christmas, and for a moment it really does feel like stepping into a festive postcard. The food itself was lovely. The sandwiches were well balanced, the pastries were beautifully presented, and the scones were warm, comforting, and exactly what you want from an afternoon tea. Indulgent without feeling overdone. That said, here’s the honest part. The atmosphere was much noisier than I expected. Between how busy the room was and the general buzz of conversation, it didn’t quite have the calm, cosy feel I associate with a slow, luxurious afternoon tea. And while I loved the idea of a festive cocktail, the one I ordered was sadly quite watery - not terrible, just not what you’d hope for at that price point.
