Mr. Surono, an elder brother of the "Setia-Hati" Winongo Tunas Muda Brotherhood (PSHWTM) who lives in Nambangan, Madiun City, shared his experiences when he first joined the SH in the 1960s. He explained that at that time, training was still centered at the home of the caretaker, H.R. Djimat Hendro Soewarno. Brothers came from various regions to train with a disciplined and measured pattern. The training facilities were simple, but the brothers' enthusiasm for learning was very high. This was in contrast to today, where each branch has its own training center. According to Mr. Surono, the training process at that time was not easy. Each stage was carried out with sincerity and strict supervision. Discipline was paramount, not only in silat movements but also in daily attitudes and behavior. He felt that the training at that time truly shaped character. For Mr. Surono, SH is a noble teaching. His values ​​are considered acceptable in all eras, both in ancient times and in the modern era. He believes that the teachings of SH are timeless because they emphasize brotherhood, discipline, responsibility, and self-control. He also recalls the caretaker's advice not to discriminate between brothers and sisters, whether poor or rich, intelligent or illiterate. In brotherhood, all are seen as equal. He continues to uphold this message to this day as a guideline in social life. Furthermore, Mr. Surono emphasized that joining SH requires taking a difficult oath. However, for him, the oath is not a burden, but rather a shield to prevent the SH brothers from acting recklessly. The oath serves as a reminder to always guard their attitudes, words, and actions. He also recalls the caretaker's father's care for the brothers in his care. If a foster child was sick, he often visited them on his bicycle, sometimes accompanied by the caretaker's mother. This simple and caring attitude is a concrete example of the meaning of leadership and care.
