Episodio 8 | Abuela Lago (Temporada 3)

This is the eighth episode of the third season. In this episode, we delve into the dialogue between a grandmother and her grandchildren. We hear the resilience of the young, the healing wisdom of the elders, and the intergenerational encounter that weaves together the memory of the communities and their territory around Lake Atitlán in Iximulew, Guatemala. We sought advice from Maggie Garcia Coz, a Kaqchikel Maya woman, community communicator, and member of the Ajpu Maya youth movement. Maggie shared her relationship with Grandmother Lake, her struggle to protect it, and her reflections and hopes. 🎧 We recommend using headphones to fully immerse yourself in the sound experience.
