A one-day historical walking tour of Shimoda, Izu, during the late Edo period. Follow in the footsteps of Commodore Perry and Yoshida Shoin. After the Treaty of Peace and Amity between Japan and the United States was signed, Shimoda, Shizuoka Prefecture, became a gateway to the outside world. We'll visit Ryosenji Temple and Gyokusenji Temple, the historical sites of that time, as well as Perry Road, Kaikoku Shimoda Minato Roadside Station, Bentenjima, and Mt. Negaturayama.
