I'm in Oirase Town. Oirase Town is well established as a bedroom community for Misawa City and Hachinohe City. Oirase Town promotes itself as a town with excellent transport links, with expressways, an airport, Shinkansen, and ferries. And yet, Oirase Town has the largest population of any municipality in Aomori Prefecture that has the word "town" in its name. It's rare to see a town with a growing population.
