Thousands of Albanians have taken to the streets to protest a controversial luxury resort project linked to Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump. Demonstrators say the €1.4 billion development threatens environmentally sensitive coastal areas, including the protected Vjosa-Narta wetlands, home to flamingos, sea turtles and other wildlife. Protesters have adopted the flamingo as the symbol of a growing movement that has spread across Albania.
