It's been a while since we've looked at novelties from the Swiss brand Maurice Lacroix. So in a new video on the THEWATCH YouTube channel, we're talking about Maurice Lacroix watches. We'll look at the Aikon collection - this is the brand's flagship collection, which is riding on the wild popularity of watches with integrated bracelets and the excellent workmanship of the watches themselves. A quick note - the first Aikon was introduced in 2016, but in fact the brand remembered its roots - the most popular Calypso collection, which was released in the 1990s - and released this new Aikon line. The series retained the characteristic features of Calypso - 6 indices on the rim of the case. 2016 was the beginning of Aikon - first were quartz models. But Maurice Lacroix entered the market of semi-sports watches in a higher price category when they introduced automatic versions of Aikon Automatic in 2018. Since then, Aikon has been available in different colors, materials, and sizes. You can find anything here - Aikon Venturer divers, chronographs, Aikon Master Grand Date with in-house calibers used in the Masterpiece collection, Aikon Skeleton, and so on.
