Torre degli Spadoni, Spada, Sandoninni
The Torre di Sandonnini, also known as the Torre degli Spadoni or Torre dello Spada, is a striking 16th-century cylindrical structure located near Parezza, within the municipality of Capannori near Lucca. Probably built by the noble Sandonnini family, it later passed to the Spada family, giving rise to its various names. Standing amidst a landscape formerly dominated by the marshes of the Bientina lake, the tower has recently been almost completely restored to its former glory.
