How I got a Mario Kart 64 World Record in 10 hours

Mario Kart Wii is often regarded as the glitchiest game in the Mario Kart franchise. While incredibly buggy, it's hard to compare anything to the glitchy wonderland known as Mario Kart 64. In 64, not only are there an abundance of different shortcuts, but some of these shortcuts allow you to complete laps with the remarkable finish time of 00:00.01. Scoring this time just once on any category is unbeatable, meaning that you're tying the World Record, and in terms of official rankings, you're counted as such. When I learned of such outrageous shortcuts - shortcuts that can earn you World Records in a matter of hours - I knew I had to give one a shot.
