Designing Classroom Simulations with GenAI. HealthyU webinar 6.5. 2026

Role plays and simulations have been shown to significantly enhance student learning in higher education. However, their widespread adoption has often been limited by the time, effort, and complexity involved in designing them. In this interactive webinar, we explored how Generative AI (GenAI) can help overcome these barriers and empower university instructors to create engaging, high-quality simulations across a wide range of disciplines. We began with a concise overview of the role, benefits, and key characteristics of simulations in higher education—essential foundations for effective design. From there, we went into how to design simulations more efficiently and creatively with GenAI. Participants also had the opportunity to experiment with simulation design during the session, gaining hands-on experience and practical insights they can apply immediately in their teaching.
