ASC T-128 Siren Test & Ambience, Skokie, IL - 3/3/20

*This siren has since been replaced with a Modulator in 2026. The new siren however is placed on a pole in the neighborhood west of this parking garage. There is also another Modulator placed a half mile east. Monthly test of the tornado sirens in Illinois. This T-128 is located on top of the parking garage near Nordstrom at Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It sounded for about 50 seconds of alert. After this winds down, you'll hear the 4004's in Morton Grove wind down as well. Once I zoom out (around the 1:50 mark), the Thunderbolt's in Glenview start to go. I could barely hear the reverse wired one (which was the closest one to where I was), and I didn't hear the Thunderbolt at the school. But the other three bolts were loud and clear making quite an ambience. I would've filmed this from the roof of the garage, but a security guard came up and told me nobody can be up there, so I sat up nearby on a sidewalk. Sirens in Illinois are tested on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM.
