🔥 Valley of Fire 42°C Heatwave Almost Triggered Our 17-Day West Coast Road Trip! This was our challenge: a 17-day road trip around the American West's national parks 🇺🇸🚙! For the first six days, we rented a car in Los Angeles, passing through Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire State Park, and finally arriving at the breathtaking Zion National Park. Unexpectedly, on our first day after leaving Las Vegas, we encountered a 42°C heatwave in Valley of Fire. I experienced symptoms resembling dehydration and heat exhaustion, almost ruining the entire 17-day trip. Looking back, in the extremely dry environment of the American West desert, sweat evaporates almost instantly, and the body can easily misjudge that it hasn't lost any water. By the time dizziness and rapid heartbeat appear, it's already close to heat exhaustion. If you're someone who doesn't sweat easily, this is something you should pay special attention to. We ultimately completed a 17-day, 4,223-kilometer road trip through the national parks of the American West, spanning four states (California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona).
