It is also a useful song for teaching signing and counting. I added the last two verses so the monkeys’ Daddy becomes a part of the story as well. At the end I changed the arrangement from the traditional ‘Shortnin’ Bread’ to something that sounded more like a lullaby so the monkeys can go to sleep.
