Black Thought: BEyond Expectations: Engaging Males of Color
Tariq ‘Black Thought’ Trotter of The Roots, DJ Rich Medina, Super Bowl Champion Raheem Brock, and everyday males of color performed powerful personal stories celebrating the lives and experiences of black males. From public perceptions and clothing choices, to loved ones lost to gun violence, to the transgender black male experience, a sold out house stormed the Suzanne Robert’s Theatre to hear stories that shattered misconceptions, and gave voice to the experience, strength, and resilient spirit of black males in Philadelphia. Featuring Michael Green, Christian Axavier Lovehall, and Russell Walker. Directed by Ozzie Jones.
