自分で靴底のかかとを直す!セメダイン シューズドクターN - ビデオでは失敗例も紹介しています!
I used "Cemedine Shoes Doctor N" to repair worn out soles of my shoes, which are now in their fifth and seventh year of wear. I bought these rubber soles at a bargain sale for less than 2,000 yen. Here are some failures and successes. [What I used] Cemedine Shoes Doctor N: https://amzn.to/2TwnoGp List view : https://amzn.to/3zACySk Today, we will try Cemedine Shoes Doctor N, a padding repair agent to fix worn soles by yourself. It comes in three colors: black (HC-003), brown (HC-002), and white (HC-001), and cures in 24 hours (at 23°C, 50% humidity, and 2mm thickness). I found the black (HC-003) at a home improvement center I entered to adjust my time due to a train delay on my way out of town. When I stopped by a home improvement center in another prefecture on another day, I realized that the shoes I was wearing were brown, so I purchased additional brown (HC-002). Included in the package are the following: 50 ml of special polyurethane-based tooling repairer, 2 sheets of sandpaper, 2 poly plates, and a spatula. Also, you will need masking tape from the 100-yen store. The shoes for which I am repairing the heels of the soles were purchased at a bargain sale in October 2012. I have been wearing them in rotation for 7 years now and have never sent them in for repair. The heel on the left foot appears to be severely worn down, with up to 8mm of wear on both sides. Repairing the heel with Shoes Doctor N First, wipe the soles with a brush to remove any dirt that may have adhered to them. Flatten the repaired area with the attached sandpaper and protect the area that does not need to be repaired with masking tape. Fasten the polyethylene plate with the masking tape so that the shiny side of the attached polyethylene plate is on the inside (shoe side). The poly board is used to enclose the worn heel area so that the repair agent can be poured into the heel. Fix the heel base and the poly board so that there is no gap between them. Prepare two bundles of tissue paper, one bundle of three sheets. One is to wipe off the repair agent on the mouth of the tupe after the work is done, and the other is to wipe off the repair agent on the spatula. Fill the repaired area with Shoes Doctor N so that the repaired area is thoroughly covered. The key is to fill it so that there are no gaps. Press it from the top with the provided spatula. This is also to fill the area so that there are no gaps. Finally, flatten the sole with the side of the spatula. If there is too much repair material on the spatula, you may transfer it to the sole of the other shoe. Before moving on to the next repair operation, wipe off the repair agent on the spatula with a tissue. Look at the poly plate to make sure it is filled deeply. If necessary, do the same for the other side. The thickness of one fill repair is about 4 mm, but in this case we filled 8 mm thick at a time. Curing time is 24 hours at 2 mm thickness, so according to our calculations, 24 x 4 = 96 hours drying time is required, but we tried to see how it goes in 48 hours. I walked around shopping for an hour and it was cured. The repair is now complete, but we won't know how durable it is until we continue to wear it. As you can see from the manufacturer's official video, it is supposedly suitable for repairing about 2 mm of wear and tear. After the work is done... After an hour or so of shopping, jelly-like hardener leaked out from the repaired 1 cm thick abrasion on the left foot (I sat on a bench and wiped it off with tissue paper). 24 hours was not enough time for it to fully cure inside. On the other hand, the right foot, repaired about 7 mm thick, was completely cured in 24 hours. The cured area did not tear when pulled, so we removed it with a cutter, sanded it with sandpaper, and filled it with the repair compound a second time. Forty-eight hours later, this time it had cured well, but it looked bad because the repair agent had protruded outward at the first time (left type in the photo). Considering that the shoe I mentioned earlier was 8 mm worn out and could be repaired in one step, if I had allowed enough time for curing, I might have been able to clean it up in one step as well. This was my first time working with this product, so I am satisfied with the results.
