Because they exist as an ordinary part of everyday life, they are often recognized as something “ordinary.” However, when we look at them more carefully, these ordinary landscapes can evoke a strange feeling. For example, even a place we are visiting for the first time can sometimes create a sense of familiarity, as if we have seen it before. Being ordinary does not mean that there is “nothing” there. Precisely because these places do not carry any particular meaning, they may contain a space where memories and emotions can enter and reside. The word “ordinary” often carries impressions such as “boring” or “lacking value.” Yet within these overlooked landscapes, personal memories and emotions may quietly exist beneath the surface. Through this work, I seek to capture the sense of deja vu and the ambiguity of memory that reside within ordinary landscapes. 町の中には、見慣れてしまっているために意識することなく通り過ぎている風景がある。 日常の中に普通に存在しているからこそ、それらは「平凡なもの」と認識されてしまう。 しかし、改めて意識して見てみると、その平凡な風景に対して、どこか不思議な感覚を覚えることがある。 例えば、初めて訪れた場所であっても、見たことがあるような既視感を抱くことがある。 平凡であるということは、「何もない」ということではない。 特別な意味を持たないからこそ、そこには記憶や感情が入り込む余白が存在しているのかもしれない。 「平凡」という言葉には、「退屈」や「価値が低い」といった印象が伴うことがある。 しかし、その見過ごされてしまう風景の中には、個人的な記憶や感情が潜んでいるのかもしれない。 本作では、そのような平凡な風景の中に潜む既視感と、記憶の曖昧さを捉えようとしている。 #ScenesFromAnOrdinaryTown #StreetPhotography #PhotoBook #Photography #写真集 #スナップ写真 #kindleunlimited
