201 Sot Cretis (4K) L'ex ricovero militare sulla forra del Rio Simon

Located at 1,537 meters above sea level, beneath Mount Cozzarel, the former Sot Cretis military shelter is an imposing barracks built by the Royal Army between 1911 and 1912. Once a first rearguard bastion capable of accommodating up to 150 soldiers, today only the walls remain, slowly eroded by time. The site, overlooking the deep gorge of the Rio Simon, can be reached from Roveredo (near Moggio Udinese) via a picturesque military mule track.
