V10E7: Old Mines and Mountain Roads
Into Colorado's San Juan Mountains. Inevitably, I encounter countless, rustic, old structures and mines as I wander throughout the mountains south of Ouray. Once again, I explore the higher elevations and discover a couple of vibrantly colored alpine lakes, stymied by windy conditions. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon's electronic sway-bar disconnect acts up again. I eat my weight in cheeseburgers and wrap up the week in Silverton, where I enjoy the local establishments.
