The Days of Old Khancoban ..Trevor Knight
In 1988 I won the first of 2 Golden Guitars with my friend Smoky Dawson, I am especially proud of this song.. it takes me back to the days when I was a stockman (cowboy) on Tom Groggin Station in the Snowy Mountains, just down the road from Khancoban Station. Smoky's words are beautifully evocative of those days... I feel proud and privileged to have known Smoky and Dot his wife and to able to have called them " My good mates." This is my solo version of our song. and the clip is a bit of fun from my farm in the Myall Lakes National Park of NSW
