In this episode, we invite Nathaniel Coleman, Ben Hanna, and Chris Cosser to battle on four competition-style boulders set by Tension's own head setter Ruth Jang and guest setter Rylan Marshall. 👉 Ben Hanna is an American professional climber known for his powerful, dynamic style and success in both competition and outdoor climbing. He has represented the United States in numerous World Cups and also won the USA Climbing Bouldering National Team Trials in 2025. Equally accomplished on rock, he has completed numerous elite-level ascents, including routes like Ace of Spades 5.15a/9a+ and recent bouldering ascents like Grand Illusion V16/8c+ and Sosa V16/8c+. 👉 Nathaniel Coleman is an American professional climber who is recognized for his achievements in competition and outdoor climbing. He won the silver medal in sport climbing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, earning the first Olympic climbing medal for the United States, and is a four-time U.S. national bouldering champion. Nathaniel is also known for his impressive outdoor ascents, including establishing some of North America's hardest boulder problems like Grand Illusion V16/8c+ and No One Mourns the Wicked V17/9a. 👉 Chris Cosser is a South African professional climber recognized as one of Africa's leading competition climbers. Representing South Africa at the 2021 Olympics, Cosser became one of the first African climbers to compete on climbing's biggest stage, ultimately finishing 16th overall. Beyond competition climbing, he is an accomplished outdoor climber with elite ascents in both sport climbing and bouldering, including climbs like Creature from the Black Lagoon V16/8c+ and Ace of Spades 5.15a/9a+. 👉 Rylan Marshall is a USAC Level 5 routesetter and one of the most experienced competition setters in the United States. With over two decades of routesetting experience, he has set for national championships across multiple disciplines and serves as Director of Setting for Movement Climbing in Colorado. Known for his creative movement and commitment to developing the craft of routesetting, Marshall is a respected leader and mentor within the climbing industry. 👉 Ruth Jang is a USAC Level 4 routesetter and climbing industry professional known for her creative movement and collaborative setting style. She has set for ten championship events and five national-level competitions and served as Head Routesetter at Tension Climbing, helping shape engaging experiences for climbers of all levels.
