Climate and Nature Integration – From Parallel Agendas to Integrated Decision-Making | WEBINAR

Welcome to the second instalment of the Sustainability and ESG Africa Conference and Expo webinar series, titled Climate and Nature Integration – From Parallel Agendas to Integrated Decision-Making, hosted in collaboration with Creamer Media in the lead up to this year's Sustainability and ESG Africa Conference and Expo, which is taking place from September 30 to October 1 at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg. Climate and nature are no longer separate sustainability agendas. As organisations deepen their transition planning, it’s becoming clear that decarbonisation pathways, water security, land use, and biodiversity are fundamentally interconnected. This session explores how to move toward integrated climate–nature strategies that reflect real-world dependencies, trade-offs, and financial implications. The webinar is moderated by Wendy Poulton, director of Strategic Mindsets and co-founder of the Sustainability and ESG Africa Conference and Expo. The panelists include Dominic Wieners, Principal Conservation Planner at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife as well as the Conference Chair of the International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa; James Reeler, Senior Technical Specialist for Climate Action at WWF; Rachel Asante-Owusu, the Senior Programme Coordinator for Climate Change at the International Union for Conservation of Nature; and Sashen Singh, Senior Manager for Sustainability at Nedbank.
