Tru-test XRP2 EID Panel Reader and EZ Weigh 7i scale head. Weigh session with Stampede Steel Chute

Video of a weigh session using an RF EID tag panel reader sending weights by Blue Tooth to the scale head. The weights are recorded in 2 or 3 seconds and we don't have to leave the controls to scan with a wand. When done, I use the Tru-test Datalink phone app to connect the EID or scale heads to upload my sessions to my phone. We chose a panel reader because so I do not need to handle a stick each time the animal comes into the chute. We have a little $150 Chinese hand reader that stores 200 tags in which we can read and record EID numbers, and then manually enter an visual ID ear tag to match the RFID tag. We email to ourselves the session data from both the little handheld reader as well as the datalink Tru-test data files to ourselves and upload the files to excel for refining or use #Cattlemax program to direct upload files keep track of weights for my herd. For our operation this system is awesome, and the only issues are usually human error causing the trailing cows tag being read before the lead animal exits the scale but opening the tailgate to early, or, the other issue may be the trailing animal pushing her way onto the scale before we can shut the tailgate on the lead animal and the EID reader will scan both cows on the scale and only get the weight for 1 or will the 7i scale head will lock onto a weight with both animals on the scale. If that happens, the visual ID must be entered for a locked weight as the panel reader is set to only read the EID once per session.
