PANDAS Single-Channel & Retro R/C Event, 8th June 2014

We had a fantastic turnout once again, we counted around 150 models, and lots of smiling faces! Its great to meet up with like-minded enthusiasts and Ponty has become THE venue at the centre of the Single-Channel revival in the UK. Conditions this year were sunny but with a fair wind, quite challenging for the rudder-only models, but all flew well and with a variety of R/C equipment used. This year saw a good few more Reeds sets, some 6-channel (ie 3 function) and some full-house. We were very happy to have Andrew Boddington at the event this year, Andrew is David Boddington's son and shares much of his Dad's passion for simple models. The video is a bit of a montage of clips and photos taken throughout the day, I hope it gives a feel for the fantastic atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the 'Retro flyers' !
