SELF BOW Building - Sanding, Sealing, Waterproofing Wood Bows
What's the best sealer to use on wood bows? How do I get a glassy, professional finish on my selfbow? In this bow building video I answer those questions and more as we go through the finishing process on a little two piece osage self bow I recently finished. I'll talk about different grades of sand paper, steel wool, and some of the waterproofing oils and sealers I've used over the years to protect my longbows and recurves from moisture and wet weather. A good finish is important for the longevity of a wood bow and this video shows how I do it. Don't forget to subscribe to the channel. We're uploading a new video each week that features one of the following topics: archery, bow hunting, bow building, survival skills, bushcraft, self reliance, primitive skills, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing, and a lot more!
