METHOD OF PROPAGATING AVATAR GRAPES FROM SHOOT CUTTINGS IN SUMMER ASSALAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKATUH June 26, 2026 Today’s topic is how to propagate Avatar grapes from cuttings in June. Today we will demonstrate our June propagation method. First, we prepare plastic containers. One-liter and one-and-a-half-liter containers work well. Holes are made in the bottom for drainage and on the sides for air circulation. Good aeration is very important for healthy root development. Next, we prepare the growing medium. Our mixture consists of: Garden soil Well-rotted manure Coconut shavings (coconut substrate) We mix these components thoroughly before use. The tools needed for this method are: Knife Hammer Tape Rooting hormone (Kornevin) The Avatar grape shoot selected for propagation should be healthy and mature. The lower part of the shoot is usually more mature, while the upper part may still be green. This is normal for June propagation. The cutting is prepared and treated with Kornevin rooting hormone. After that, the container is attached around the shoot and secured with tape. The prepared substrate is then added to the container. To ensure proper moisture distribution, we recommend moistening the substrate separately before filling the container. Approximately 100 grams of substrate and 100 grams of water can be mixed beforehand to achieve even moisture. The container is then tied securely with string to keep it upright and stable. The side holes allow air to enter and help create favorable conditions for root formation. We do not add excessive coconut substrate because the mixture already contains soft organic material and soil, providing good structure for rooting. By autumn, after leaf fall, the rooted cutting can be separated from the mother vine. At that time, the root system will be visible and ready for planting. When separating the new plant, leave three buds on the shoot and remove the remaining upper portion. This helps the young plant establish itself more successfully. The new plant can be: Planted directly in autumn Stored in a plastic bag in a cool basement Buried in soil for winter protection Planted the following spring I hope this method will be useful for everyone. Watch our programs, subscribe to our channel, and follow our demonstrations. Throughout the season, we have shown different propagation methods, including growing grape plants in large containers and barrels. Please like the video and leave your questions in the comments. May Allah bless our efforts and hard work this year. Ameen.
