The opening day stage greeting for the latest Super Sentai film, "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger VS Ninninger the Movie: Message from the Future from Super Sentai" (directed by Noboru Takemoto), was held in Tokyo on January 14th. Cast members Masaki Nakao, who plays Zyuohger Red and Zyuoh Eagle/Yamato Kazekiri, appeared in happi coats. Also attending the opening day stage greeting were Nakao, Miki Yanagi, Shohei Minamiha, Ken Watanabe, and Haruka Tateishi, who star in "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger," as well as Shunsuke Nishikawa, Gaku Matsumoto, Yoshito Nakamura, Yuka Yano, Kasumi Yamatani, and Hideya Tawada, who star in "Shuriken Sentai Ninninger." Zyuohger's Naoki Kunishima was absent due to poor health. "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger VS Ninninger the Movie: Message from the Future from Super Sentai" was produced to commemorate the 40th film in the Super Sentai series. All the past Super Sentai Reds come together, and a boy comes from the future to save the Earth from a dire crisis. The story goes that the Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, who once protected the Earth, believe the Zyuohger to be "evil monsters" and attack Kazekiri Yamato and the other Zyuohger in an attempt to defeat them.
